  • Flash piece - April 3rd, 2007 (10%)
  • In-class presentation of learning object design rationale - April 3rd, 2007 (5%)

Based on work done in the concept mashup, your group will work towards designing a learning object - essentially, a self-contained modular tutorial - to educate the viewer on the concepts you've derived. This learning object will be delivered as an interactive Flash piece. Previous knowledge of Flash programming is not assumed. Specific guidelines on proper learning object design and Flash tutorials and technical assistance will be provided in lab.

Learning Object Review Rubric - from CLOE

Written proposal (approx.200-300 words) needs to include:
  1. Focused description that defines idea or topic (remember to pick another groups mashup)
  2. Evaluation of mashup topics- postives/negatives
  3. Learning objectives- take away points for learner (about 3)
  4. Form of learning object - eg. mockups, specifications, size, length, data requirements
  5. Plan of activity over project development
